Erika Jakobsone is a Latvian pianist.
She is a laureate of a number of international and national competitions in solo, chamber music and composition.
Erika studied at Emīls Dārziņš Music School, continued her Bachelor's and Master's studies at Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, and completed an intership at Folkwang University of the Arts (Germany).
She has played with the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra and Jāzeps Vītols Music Academy Symphony Orchestra, has collaborated with conductors such as Andris Vecumnieks, Atvars Lakstīgala, Kaspars Ādamsons, as well as emerging young conductors.
Erika took part in summer courses at Rostock University of Music and Theater, the Bavarian Music academy, and in Amsterdam.
She has participated in festivals such as: "Crossing Keyboards (an international project of the Baltic States, Finland and Sweden), "Holdre International Chamber Music Festival", "Euregio Rhein-Waal Chamber Music Festival".
As a collaborative pianist, she has accompanied students in competitions, including "Cello Cēsis", "Belvedere Singing Competition".
She regularly performs in Latvia and internationally, collaborating with singers and instrumentalists.
