Our story
Katrīna Anna Rando (cello) and Ērika Jākobsone (piano) are a newly established duo from Latvia. Both studied at the Emīls Dārziņš Music School, where their paths already crossed in chamber music classes and school concerts. Last year, the duo was formed and began their intensive concert activity with a performance at the Cēsis Festival Cello Cēsis. This was followed by concerts at the Dobele Concert Hall Zinta, Latvian Radio 3, as well as abroad. Together, the duo performs a diverse repertoire spanning different styles.
Our history
Katrīna Anna Rando
is currently studying at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music under Professor Stephan Forck. Alongside her intensive solo career, Katrīna is deeply fascinated by chamber music and chamber orchestras. Since 2023, she has been a member of the Davinspiro Camerata.
Ērika Jākobsone
after her studies at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, continued at the Folkwang University of the Arts in the class of Evgeny Sinaiski, focusing on duo performance. She is currently actively collaborating in duos with various musicians, especially violinists and singers.
